Sweet Orange Pudding

[Mutual pining, sweet romance]

Straightforward, lovable goofball x cool, aloof wolf in sheep's clothing

Whenever Zhao Chengxi's mother warned her not to date too young, she'd bring up Gu Yan as an example: "Look at the boy next door. He's first in every exam. He studies so hard, he definitely won't date anyone. You should learn from him!"

Later, Zhao Chengxi started dating the boy next door, Gu Yan.

Gu Yan's family lived next door to Zhao Chengxi's. Though they'd never spoken, he knew she was in his class. He knew she got scolded to tears by her mother whenever she failed an exam, had seen her walking the dog around the neighborhood in sloppy clothes, and had heard her belting out songs in the bathroom.

Later, she confessed to him.

The sky was clear and cloudless on the day Zhao Chengxi confessed to Gu Yan.

"I'll treat you well," Zhao Chengxi said.

Gu Yan looked at her and revealed the scar in his heart. "Do you really know me?"

Zhao Chengxi shook her head and smiled brightly. "I'll get to know you starting now."
