The Fierce Glow of the Flames

[Bright and gentle undercover policewoman X unruly bomb disposal officer]

Ke Yi had imagined countless ways she might reunite with Bo Ziyou, but never in her wildest dreams did she expect them to meet again during a terrorist attack that shocked the entire nation.

She had an explosive device strapped to her, and he was the police officer assigned to defuse it.

The first time they parted, Ke Yi was eleven and Bo Ziyou was sixteen.

She clutched the hem of his clothes, sobbing so hard she could barely breathe. "Brother Ziyou, don't go..."

When they reunited, Ke Yi was eighteen and Bo Ziyou was twenty-three.

She waited for death in a white dress, while he was like a ray of light in endless darkness, warming her heart, which had long since lost all feeling.

He said to her, "Don't be afraid. I'm back."

The second time they parted, Ke Yi was twenty and Bo Ziyou was twenty-five.

She shed every trace of tenderness and went alone into hell.

He searched for her like a madman for four years.

When they met again, Ke Yi was twenty-four and Bo Ziyou was twenty-nine.

She wore a short, revealing, sexy dress and heavy makeup, every smile and frown radiating allure.

He cornered her against the wall, his eyes bloodshot. "Come home with me. I'll take care of you for the rest of your life."

"Can you really take care of me for a whole lifetime?" She put all her strength into performing arrogance and disdain. "Bo Ziyou, why bother?"
