The Son-In-Law of the Husband’s Family

Please add my new novel, "My Dad Is the Biscuit King", to your collection! A sweet little story set in the 1990s

-

The Li family was one of the wealthiest in Xiping Village. Li Da’s wife died young, leaving him with only one son, Li Zhouzhou.

“What good is making all that money when you’ve only got a son?”

“Your son will marry into another family. All that money will end up in someone else’s hands.”

Li Da cursed out the villagers who were gossiping.

“My Zhouzhou is going to take a husband into our household!”

Then he told his son, “Your dad has money. Pick any young man you like from the villages within ten li, Zhouzhou, and have him marry into our family.”

In the end, Li Zhouzhou chose a scholar who couldn’t carry a load on his shoulders or lift a basket with his hands.

“Dad, he has a pretty face.”

-

Gu Zhao transmigrated into the body of a scholar from Dongping Village, who shared his name.

The scholar had just been reborn, but the moment Gu Zhao arrived, he was gone again.

Only his memories from his previous life remained.

Gu Zhao took one look and realized the scholar was a real scumbag, a Chen Shimei through and through.

He married into the Li family, took full advantage of their money and connections, then married a local gentryman's daughter after passing the highest imperial exam. He abandoned the son he'd had with Li Zhouzhou, then killed Li Zhouzhou...

His story had currently reached the point where he was offering to marry into the Li family.

Having taken over the scumbag's body, Gu Zhao went to the Li family to apologize.

The moment he saw Li Zhouzhou, he fell for him.

-

Later, Gu Zhao became the chief grand secretary.

His colleagues made snide remarks and repeated gossip from around town, saying that now he was in power, he would divorce his husband.

“Since I married into the family, if anyone's getting divorced, it'll be my husband divorcing me.”

A tall, slim-waisted, long-legged local lad who can do any kind of hard work, as the uke X A modern science student, a sweet-talking beauty, as the seme. The uke is three years older.

This novel will enter VIP serialization on Thursday, November 18, 2021. I'll post 10,000 words that day. Thanks for your support!

A few things to know before reading:

1. Mpreg. Important: babies, babies, babies!

2. An old-school rural story about men who can bear children, with lots of everyday family life and endless little domestic squabbles. This is exactly the kind of story I want to write.

3. Feel free to discuss things amicably, but don't make personal attacks. If it's not for you, just drop it. No need to announce that you're dropping it, thanks.

4. Most of the story is told from the uke's perspective, but there are also chapters from the seme's and other characters' perspectives. Enjoy!
