You Are That Dazzling Moment

During summer vacation a year ago, Lin Buru went to Wangu Town to teach as a volunteer at a friend's request, where he met Shu Tongqiu...

Someone so breathtakingly beautiful that the moment he stood among a crowd, he drew everyone's gaze.

The volunteer stint was brief. When it ended, Lin Buru had no choice but to board the bus home and say goodbye to Shu Tongqiu.

Only when the bus had driven far away and faded from view did Shu Tongqiu dare to say, "I like you."

A year later, Lin Buru shouldered his pack and returned to Wangu Town to teach. He believed he could make a difference this time.

But reality dealt him a heavy blow.

The tedious life of teaching was full of chaos and mishaps, draining all his energy.

Just then, Shu Tongqiu, a man with countless secrets, suddenly appeared, bringing yet more upheaval to his already troubled life.

[Bonus scene]

"Lin Buru, listen to this song." Shu Tongqiu handed him an earbud.

Lin Buru took it and put it on. A male voice full of stories came through the earbud, singing beautifully.

"Do you like it?" Shu Tongqiu asked, waiting for Lin Buru's answer.

Seeing Shu Tongqiu's nervous, uncertain expression, Lin Buru found his attention shifting involuntarily from the song to the man himself.

He smiled and said, "It's good."

It wasn't until many years later that Lin Buru heard the lyrics of that song clearly.

"I am this dazzling instant, a fleeting flame crossing the sky.

I came for you, loving you without a second thought. I will burn out and never return."
