[Crossover] Tsuna's History of Secret Crushes

Everyone knows Sawada Tsunayoshi has a crush on Furuya Rika. Everyone except Rika, that is.

Before Reborn appeared, Rika was the only one who reached out to Tsuna. She didn't just take his hand and pull him out of the abyss, she never let go afterward.

All along, Rika had been the person Tsuna loved most, yet was afraid to love.

Ten years later, Tsuna learned that his love for Rika had been the key to her death. Not even Reborn could save Tsuna's shattered mind. Only Rika could.

Tsuna said he'd had a nightmare, in which Rika had been in danger because of him.

Thank goodness...

Rika smiled warmly. It was only Sawada-kun's dream, not reality.

If I were ever in danger because of Sawada-kun, he'd be more tormented by guilt than anyone else.

So it was a dream. Thank goodness it really was.

If you don't want me to be in danger, then you can protect me yourself, Sawada-kun.

Tsuna kept that promise close to his heart for the rest of his life.

As adults, the two met again. Tsuna was injured while protecting Rika, and when she got angry because he was hurt, he actually laughed.

"Idiot! What's so funny about being injured?"

Rika had never been so angry.

But Tsuna's eyes curved with his smile. "Because I kept my promise..."

Seeing the confusion on Rika's face, Tsuna reached up and caressed her cheek. "We promised back then that I'd protect you forever. I did it..."
