[Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan] The Flower of Kikyo

The miko meets Rihan when he is twenty.

The miko was raised by other shrine maidens from childhood, with the aim of becoming one herself. From an early age, she was taught that demons are evil, and that a miko must protect ordinary people, even at the cost of her own life. This belief was instilled in her from the start.

But Rihan is different. He's a half-demon, and once a month he turns into a human. The miko thought he was human when she rescued him from the demons.

Rihan shatters the beliefs that had been drilled into her since childhood. He's a good person who even helps ordinary people. The miko never smiles, not even at children; she always wears a cold expression. By the time she discovers that Rihan is a demon, she has already accepted him. He treats her like an ordinary girl. He thinks she can get hurt and that she ought to enjoy good food. Rihan is the only one who treats the miko like an ordinary girl.

If the miko is a shield, standing before everyone else, then only Rihan, that fool, would make himself a shield and hold her close in his arms.

How could she not fall for a man like that?
