[Touken Ranbu] The Saniwa Can't Possibly Be Saito Kicho

Saito Kicho (1535-1612?), the lawful wife of the Sengoku daimyo Oda Nobunaga, had no children. Since she married into the Oda family from Mino, she was commonly known as Nohime, and also called Sagi-yama-dono. A renowned beauty of the Sengoku period, she was one of the Three Great Ladies of the Sengoku era.

No matter how you look at it, unexpectedly coming back to life at the age she married Oda Nobunaga, then being forced to learn modern things like spirit guardians and preserve history such as Saburo dying at Honnoji, just doesn't feel right! That was what Saito Kicho thought as she opened her high school civics textbook.

At least she finally understood that neither her father nor Saburo was a pure-blooded person of the Sengoku era. They had both come from another time through transmigration. But that wasn't important to her.

Because that was the land of Azuchi, the place the butterfly of the Sengoku era wished to fly to.

Notes:

1. Unless otherwise specified, the Sengoku characters who appear are based on the manga "Nobunaga Concerto". Azuchi was the castle built by Oda Nobunaga.

2. The main pairing is Saburo and Kicho (they may appear later). She will not flirt with, marry, or be married to any of the swordsmen; she sees them purely as retainers.

3. In this version, Kicho is a native of the Sengoku era (her father is a transmigrator). This is an ancient-to-modern story, with plenty of content early on about adapting to modern life. If that's not your thing, feel free to skip it; please don't leave hate.

Theme: Fate is a wondrous thing.
