Lian Chen has a fluffy little cockatiel at home. It’s adorable, with a sweet voice, but the things it says aren’t quite as pleasant.

Other people’s parrots learn to say, “Congratulations on your fortune” and “Happy New Year.”

His parrot learns to say, “Where’s your Flash?” and “Is that your family’s hand-me-down Heal?”

That is, until Lian Chen gets an offer from a professional team and heads alone to J City to play professionally, leaving his grandmother and his orphaned bird home alone.

-

During a ranked match, Lian Chen was matched against the account he’d used before going pro, and got completely crushed by it.

Lian Chen: ????

After the match, Lian Chen immediately added the player and invited them to a party. “Who the hell are you?”

On the other side, Jiujiu chirped, “Achoo!”

Mystery solved. The parrot at home had become a spirit.

Lian Chen brought Jiujiu back to the team base that very night, and nearly got a beating from his grandmother for it.

-

His teammates noticed that Lian Chen’s schedule had suddenly become surprisingly regular, and couldn’t figure out why.

Then one morning, a little boy with pink hair walked out of Lian Chen’s room in front of Shins.

Shins was a little stunned. “Who’s that?”

Knowing outsiders weren’t allowed in the team base, Lian Chen’s mind raced. “This... is probably my boyfriend...”

-

RG got a new teammate. Lian Chen tugged the little boy leaning against his shoulder toward the other players and introduced him. “This is our new teammate. His name is... Lian Jiu.”

Shins: Astonished beyond belief!

The game is League of Legends.

The league’s number-one ADC is Single, Chen Que. He’s handsome and skilled, but notoriously difficult to get along with.

SKG has swapped out several support players, almost like they were auditioning, but their strategy of protecting the bottom lane at all costs has never changed.

After a disappointing spring split, SKG announced its new support, Moon, Gu Mingyi.

He turned down offers from countless teams, only to join SKG, whose AD was the hardest person to get along with.

He was very good, but did everything opposite to what Single wanted.

He roams starting at level three. The AD is on his own.

Haters: I’ve started caring about watching matches again. Not for any other reason than to see whether Single goes berserk and starts beating people up on stage.

Fans: What a shitty team, buying a support with no family. Single, run

After the new support joined, he gave the ADC’s pink cat-ear gear a meaningful look.

Teammate: Single treasures that thing. We don’t know who gave it to him, but he won’t let anyone touch it!

Gu Mingyi: Is the gear still working out for you?

Chen Que: ...It’s fine.

The players: ???

Later, SKG had a bottom lane duo who seemed to share a mind.

Host: How did Moon sync up with Single so well in such a short time?

Gu Mingyi smiled. “Because I was already duoing sweetly with him before he became Single.”

The game is League of Legends. No real-life inspirations, no real-life inspirations, no real-life inspirations.
