[The King's Avatar] I Have Huang Shaotian Locked in My Phone

If we're really going to tell this story, it's an absolute tragedy. First, we have to start at the beginning.

Let me introduce our heroine: a college student about to graduate and lose her job.

Her real-life favorite is a cosplayer. Every day, she makes a point of stalking her idol's Weibo, liking and commenting on or reposting every single post like a die-hard fan. And when new cosplay photos come out, she can't miss them, not even a preview. She clicks the GIF without a second thought, despite the risk of burning through her data, and after being overwhelmed by its cuteness, she saves the picture with a lovestruck grin.

#My favorite and his CP are still so lovey-dovey, it makes me so happy#

She doesn't know the character they're cosplaying, though.

Because of her principle that #a true fan should share their idol's interests#,

she eagerly goes to read the original story, and then... bursts into tears. Wow, this novel is just too good! This is my electricity, my light, my one and only myth!

Already prone to loving whatever her favorite loves, she becomes even more devoted to the character. With a grand wave of her hand, she changes her phone wallpaper.

Isn't #locking your true love inside your screen# all the rage lately?

And so, she locks the adorable little chatterbox inside her phone screen, and that's how the tragedy begins.

This idea came to me in 2014, just as The King's Avatar had finished its run. Some of the jokes are a little dated, but I wrote them down in a notebook back then and don't want to give up on them. I was young and full of life, and had just finished reading The King's Avatar. The blurb above is why I fell into the world of The King's Avatar. So the heroine is me [not really].

Huang Shaotian is purely the Huang Shaotian in my heart. OOC warning!

Theme: I started writing this purely to fulfill the romantic fantasies of my younger self, but I hope someone enjoys it too. Thanks!
