Prince of Tennis: A Few Things About Seaweed Boy

At the beautiful Rikkaidai, there are plenty of legendary figures: the Emperor, Sanada Genichiro; the retired emperor, Yukimura Seiichi; data expert Yanagi Renji; trickster Niou Masaharu; gentleman Yagyuu Hiroshi, and so on. Of course, they're all members of the tennis club. But I'm not here to talk about them. I'm here to tell you about Rikkaidai's legendary Ice Princess, Momiji Gari.

She holds the undisputed top spot at Rikkaidai. A second-year girl with beautiful looks, perfect grades, and talent in every field, she's also the next student council president. So why is she called the "Ice Princess"? It's simple. She isn't cold and unsmiling toward everyone; she's actually quite nice to girls. But when it comes to boys, it's a completely different story.

Whenever a boy comes within three feet of Her Highness the Ice Princess, he can feel her bone-chilling cold. It's like walking naked into a snowy field. When her delicate face turns toward you, she looks at you as if you were already dead. Even the legendary Yukimura has to stand three feet away when talking to her.

Girls, by comparison, get treated far better. Her Highness the Ice Princess rarely shows much expression and usually looks calm, but when she occasionally smiles, it's as radiant as snow melting in the sunlight. So it's no surprise that she's adored by all the girls at school.

This might sound like it has nothing to do with Kirihara Akaya, but it does, very much. Kirihara Akaya is one of the few people who knows why the Ice Princess acts this way. More importantly, he's the only boy who can get close to her.

Why? Because... damn childhood friends!~
