After I Transmigrated into a Book, I Got the Eunuch's Baby

[Title to be decided]

Chu Qingci transmigrates into a tragic novel about a beautiful, strong protagonist. In the book, he inherits the throne after his imperial father's death. But before he can even warm the throne, the powerful minister Yan Nange leads an army in a bloody purge of the palace and confines the pretty, empty-headed young emperor.

Yan Nange tells the public that the emperor is unwell, successfully taking control of the court.

Chu Qingci eats and drinks well in the inner palace, spending his days playing with cats and dogs. He decides that perhaps being "unwell" forever wouldn't be so bad.

But the ministers grow anxious and repeatedly petition him to appear before them.

In the end, Chu Qingci is forced by the pressure (while secretly delighted to keep lazing around) to borrow a friend's child to inherit the throne.

After the little prince ascends the throne, Chu Qingci rules from behind the curtain (and leaves everything to others), and the Chu dynasty falls completely into Yan Nange's hands.

One day, Chu Qingci is so infuriated by Yan Nange's words that he slams his hand on the dragon throne and flies into a rage in court.

The ministers are terrified, afraid the retired emperor has angered the Grand Eunuch.

Yet the usually cold and ruthless Grand Eunuch doesn't say a word, letting the retired emperor throw a tantrum and splash hot tea all over him.

Late that night, the eighteen-year-old retired emperor is pinned to a grand chair in a humiliating position, unable to move.

Yan Nange, decisive and ruthless, presses his face to Chu Qingci's belly and says coldly, "The imperial physician says everything is fine this time. If Your Majesty loses your temper again and harms the child, I won't hesitate to strip you in front of everyone and show them what you look like."

As he speaks, he gives Chu Qingci's butt a hard slap.

Ah! This isn't the beautiful-and-tragic plot he had in mind!

Red-faced, Chu Qingci covers his reddened backside and makes a show of fighting back. "I-I was actually lying in wait by your side so I could assassinate you and avenge myself!"

Yan Nange grips his chin, his gaze icy. "Then lie in wait for the rest of your life. I've never been afraid of that sort of thing."
