[Harry Potter] Draco's Squib Father

Note: The original outline for this story is in another piece in the author's collection, "The Treasure Trove of Pigeon-Precious Maple Sugar." It is completely different from this one, so don't mix them up!

Before the start of his second year, Draco went with Lucius to St. Mungo's to bring home his father, who had been receiving treatment in the Spell Damage ward ever since giving birth to him.

His father's name was Joshua Black, the twin brother of the famous Sirius Black, and a Squib.

Draco wasn't unfamiliar with his father. Every month for all those years, Lucius Malfoy had taken him to visit Joshua. Of course, they had to look through the glass. The handsome wizard with black hair and black eyes, who didn't look much like Sirius, always sat quietly by the window, fiddling with yarn. Thanks to him, Lucius and Draco never lacked new clothes.

Ahhhhh, hehe, I'm going after Daddy L.

File Made Public

Name: Joshua Black

History: Born into the Black family on November 3, 1959, three minutes after Sirius, which cost him his inheritance.

On September 1, 1971, he began attending Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin.

He took his N.E.W.T.s in June 1978 and graduated from Hogwarts. After graduation, he stayed at 12 Grimmauld Place, apparently to avoid the war. After Sirius, the Black family heir, joined the Order of the Phoenix and began fighting the Death Eaters, Joshua was given to Voldemort. Strangely, however, Joshua did not become a Death Eater.

He was missing for the next three years. This was common during wartime and attracted no attention.

The last time Joshua's name appeared was in a small corner of the Daily Prophet near the end of 1981, in a notice of his marriage to Lucius Malfoy, who was standing trial at the time.
