Have You Studied Today?

One day, Wen Chengxia, who was his parents' great hope, was dragged by them to neighboring F University to find a tutor.

They said the person they had found got a perfect score in English back in the day.

Wen Chengxia showed up in a T-shirt and casual pants, looking disheveled. There he met Bai Jinxi, who was dressed just as plainly, with no makeup on.

Neither of them was impressed.

That night, outside the Pod Bar,

Wen Chengxia was sobering up in the breeze when someone suddenly tapped him on the shoulder.

The girl had short curly hair and a miniskirt. Her long, slender legs were dazzlingly pale, and she held a menthol cigarette between two fingers. He heard her ask in a cool, indifferent voice, "Got a lighter?"

Wen Chengxia's eyebrows instinctively arched.

Bai Jinxi looked up and studied the neatly dressed man for a few seconds. In each other's eyes, they saw the same incredulous thought: "So well-behaved during the day, but a whole different person at night."

They spoke in unison: "You've got the wrong person."

Wen Chengxia was an enigma at school. In front of the teachers, he was the very picture of good behavior.

Fighting, smoking, and getting into trouble had nothing to do with him. He was just a bit of a slacker.

Later, people learned that he hadn't thrown the punches, but he had started the fights.

He hadn't smoked the cigarettes, but he had organized the sessions.

He looked lazy, soft-skinned, and harmless, yet people called him Boss behind his back.
