Wish Overdue and Unpaid

My next book will be "Romantic Immersion"

---Synopsis---

I saw Zhang Yushu again at a barbecue stall in the middle of a summer night.

He wore a tank top and shorts. Tall and broad-shouldered, he had a towel draped around his neck and stood in front of the grill, holding a handful of metal skewers.

At two-thirty in the morning, Duan Zhiyuan walked him home.

"My feet have been bitten by mosquitoes so many times."

When Zhang Yushu crouched in front of her with mint toothpaste, he saw her lift her skirt and point to her thigh, timidly telling him, "A-and here too..."

--

In high school, Duan Zhiyuan and Zhang Yushu were worlds apart.

The good student and the bad student had never crossed paths.

Until one day, on her way home from school, Duan Zhiyuan stumbled upon two groups fighting.

She stammered when she called the police. The next second, someone snatched her phone away.

Zhang Yushu spoke lazily into it: "This is the alley behind No. 17 High School. There's a girl with a stutter who's about to get beaten to tears."

As soon as he hung up, he lunged forward.

Everyone knew Zhang Yushu had a fiery temper and was the quintessential delinquent.

A rumor had long circulated at school that he'd bullied a female student until she dropped out and moved away.

The reason was always a source of gossip.

Then, one day, he cornered Duan Zhiyuan in a shadowy alley.

The boy grinned recklessly. Duan Zhiyuan trembled with fear, tears and snot running down her face. "If you keep doing this, I-I'm going to tell the teacher..."

From that day on, Zhang Yushu swore he would never make his little stutterer cry again.

He couldn't bear it.

From school days to adulthood.

School days: Delinquent boy vs. Good girl

Adulthood: Rugged man vs. Sweet girl

P.S. They only get together when they're grown up, so there's no puppy love. The fighting and bullying rumors in the synopsis are misunderstandings. During their school years, the heroine has psychological issues and is shy and timid, but she grows out of it as an adult.

---Pre-release: "Romantic Immersion"---

Rain fell in sheets. After a party, Bei Shutong asked her best friend Ranran to pick her up, but Ranran had something to do and sent her the door code to her place, telling her to stay there.

Bei Shutong immediately gave up on the idea.

Not long afterward, Liang Huaisheng called.

"Come over."

Bei Shutong refused. "No, Ranran isn't there. It wouldn't be appropriate."

She heard the metallic click of a lighter opening, followed by the man's low voice:

"How many times did you sneak upstairs to sleep when Ranran wasn't around before? And now you think it's inappropriate?"

[Little skit]

"Ten years from now, you'll understand. When a kid talks to you about romance, your job is to see through her act of pretending to be mature, not invite her out for a drink."

Liang Huaisheng once said this to Bei Shutong.

Later,

he was the one who broke that rule.

[A mischievous, rebellious girl vs. a straitlaced, abstinent male lead]
