Gu Dian and Qiu Su grew up together. Their families had been close for generations.

Genetic testing at birth showed that Gu Dian was a top-tier Alpha and Qiu Su a top-tier Omega, with a 99% match. The day the families received the test results, the elders of both the Gu and Qiu families clapped their hands in delight. "What a perfect match. It's just as fate intended."

Ever since Qiu Su was old enough to understand things, he had felt that he ought to be just like Gu Dian in every way. If Gu Dian was an Alpha, then he was an Alpha. If Gu Dian was an Omega, then he ought to be one too.

Gu Dian charged ahead on his way to becoming a top-tier Alpha, and Qiu Su refused to be outdone. He wanted to stand shoulder to shoulder with Gu Dian as one of No. 1 High School's top-tier double Alphas.

Until one day, the rich scent of milk chocolate filled Qiu Su's bedroom. Gu Dian put an arm around him, pretending to be calm as he stuffed a chocolate truffle into his mouth.

For talking back to his superior, Hao Yuan was punished with 1,000 squats, 1,000 push-ups, a 10-kilometer weighted run, and three days locked in a dark room without food... It nearly killed him.

In the end, he still had to bow and apologize to Captain Luo, seeing black spots in front of his eyes.

Hao Yuan's alternate personality was gentle.

When Luo Yao was injured, Hao Yuan cleaned his wounds, then held him and cried.

When he cried, he looked like a little mouse protecting its young.

The little mouse lay on Luo Yao's shoulder and whispered, "Hao Yuan, I love him. Don't fight me for him."

Luo Yao stayed by his side through treatment. After Hao Yuan recovered, his alternate personality never appeared again.

The only time in his life Luo Yao ever showed mercy, he lost his little mouse because of it...

Until one day, Hao Yuan leaned on Luo Yao's shoulder in the same way and murmured, "Little mouse, don't come back... I love him too!"
