“A Haikyuu!! crossover, with Kuroko's Basketball, archery, and swimming as well.”
“The blurb may be revised before the story starts, but the story itself won't change.”
Bai Chuan Jieren, the national team's star setter, has just lifted the World Championship trophy when he transmigrates. Now he thinks he's an utterly ordinary athletic high school boy.
Or so he thinks. He's actually fair and neat-looking, nothing like an athletic type, and he often finds himself in situations like this:
“Go out with me!”
Bai Chuan: “Sorry, I have no desire for such worldly things. I just want to play volleyball.”
You can never have too many championships, of course. He might as well win a few more. :)
The boys: “Please, Bai Chuan, leave us ordinary folks some chance to breathe! Kageyama, do something about him!”
Kageyama: “I can't. :)”
After they started high school, his childhood friend became clingier and clingier. He even had a problem with Bai Chuan setting the ball for a classmate.
The upperclassmen: “Who knew Kageyama was such a carnivore~”
Kageyama: “Jieren, are you going to leave too? For that archery club...”
Bai Chuan: “No. Give me a back set, please.”
Kageyama: “...I can't believe he's jealous of volleyball now.”
“What about going to see Aya's group? Are you playing a shrine maiden at the shrine?”
Bai Chuan: “Yes. Set the ball higher, and stop getting distracted.”
Kageyama: “...Damn it!!!”
Bai Chuan: “You crossed the line on that back-row attack, Kageyama. That's a fault. What's wrong? Are you upset?”
Kageyama: “No.” (Yes, I'm upset!)
Content warnings:
=Bai Chuan is as dense as a block of wood.
=He's no good at returning romantic direct hits, but he's great at hitting them back on the court, and usually doesn't even realize he's made a direct hit.
=Kageyama and Bai Chuan are childhood friends. The canon anime matches won't be covered; the matches here are original.
Theme: Life goes on, and so does sports.
