[Genshin Impact] Furina Binds Herself to a Life-Saving System

After Focalors gave her life to break Fontaine's prophecy, everything returned to normal, and Furina stepped down from her position as Hydro Archon.

But without the Hydro Archon's "curse," Furina might not have much longer to live.

By chance, Furina became bound to a life-prolonging System.

System: "Hello, Ms. Furina. I'm your personal life-prolonging System. You need to get close to Mr. Neuvillette. Touching him gives you 10 life points... hugging him gives you 50, kissing him gives you 100... Ahem. In short, the more intimate you are, the more your life will be extended."

"Live on, Furina, the true God of Water!"

Furina fell into deep thought. I endured a one-woman show for five hundred years with no one to confide in. I should be able to do this too, right? I should... be able to... right?

Later, the Melusines at Palais Mermonia would see Lady Furina loitering outside Mr. Neuvillette's office every day.

Each time, one of them would go up and ask, "Lady Furina, are you looking for Mr. Neuvillette?"

Each time, Lady Furina would panic like a startled fawn and deny it over and over. "Ah... no! I'm not! Hahaha, I'm not looking for Neuvillette! I'm just... I'm just, oh! I'm just here to admire the magnificent... um, ceiling of Palais Mermonia. Yes, the ceiling!"

Every time, Neuvillette would open the door from inside and look down at her with fond exasperation. "There's cake in my office. Come have some."

[Reading Guide]

1. The System came into being from the couple's intense feelings for each other.

2. Furina herself wants to live on; she is just a little embarrassed about it, and she cares too much about saving face. If someone gives her a noble enough reason, she can comfortably pretend she's only doing it reluctantly, even though she already really wants to. She just doesn't want to admit it out loud.

3. Updates whenever possible. This is a free story with an outline, and I will finish it!

4. The characters will probably be seriously out of character. This is a fluffy, brainless sweet romance, not meant to withstand even a little scrutiny or detailed analysis...

Theme: Love can overcome anything.
