At twenty, Wen Shu married Sheng Jingyan, dressed in a wedding gown, holding a bouquet of roses, and filled with love.
Over five years of marriage, Sheng Jingyan indulged in romance and lived for pleasure. His notorious affairs were the talk of their social circle.
Everyone knew he didn't love Wen Shu and treated her like dirt.
But Wen Shu loved Sheng Jingyan. Ever since he rescued her from an earthquake when she was twelve, she'd secretly loved him.
She got into the same high school and university as him, followed the path he'd taken, became his junior, and eventually became his wife.
Eight years of unrequited love, five years of marriage.
Wen Shu spent the best years of her life loving him.
Even though Sheng Jingyan ignored her and treated her like a stranger for years after they married, and she endured everyone's ridicule, she never complained. Instead, she took care of everything at home for him.
She kept hoping that the boy who had rescued her from the earthquake would tell her, "Don't be afraid, Shushu. I'm here."
"Come here. Let me hold you."
But it was all in vain.
On their fifth wedding anniversary, she accidentally knocked over Sheng Jingyan's economics books, and a photograph fell out.
In it, Sheng Jingyan had an arm around a young woman's waist, whispering to her with tender affection.
His gaze was tender and full of love, something he'd never shown Wen Shu.
So he had been deeply in love with someone else all along.
When they divorced, Sheng Jingyan watched coldly and didn't say a word to ask her to stay.
As she signed the papers, he only said icily, "Once you walk out that door, we're strangers forever."
Wen Shu didn't look back. She took her suitcase, left the place where her heart had been broken, deleted every way to contact him, and went abroad alone.
One day, two years later, a postman who'd been on strike for ages finally delivered the letters she'd missed over those two years.
Wen Shu opened them and found a whole box of love letters: 108 in all, every one signed by Sheng Jingyan.
Her boyfriend beside her grew jealous, bit her ear, and asked playfully, "Who is this old flame of yours?"
Wen Shu tossed the letters away. Her voice was utterly calm. "Just a dead man."
And Sheng Jingyan, the "dead man," stood alone in the snow in a black trench coat, snow piling on his shoulders. Watching her and an unfamiliar man act so intimately, he finally felt his heart being torn apart.
Later, the story circulating through their social circle was that Second Master Sheng had tried everything to win back his ex-wife, changing his tactics again and again just to get one glance from Wen Shu.
For that one glance, Sheng Jingyan even got down on his knees and murmured tenderly, "Shushu, give me a chance. I swear I'll never do it again."

Blurb for Butterfly's Surrender:
The night Shen You flew to Europe with Qi Yushi, they encountered a once-in-a-century rainstorm and had to make an emergency landing. The cabin lights failed. Some passengers panicked, some cried, and others trembled as they wrote their last letters with pen and paper.
Lightning flashed and thunder roared. Outside the window, everything was dark and dim, and the plane floated amid rain and thick fog. Shen You gripped a seat and looked at him, lips pale. "Are we going to die?"
The man gave a low laugh. "What's there to be afraid of? We'll be together."
His long, cool fingers twirled a strand of hair at the nape of her neck, gently tugged it free, and slipped it into his pocket. His voice was almost indulgent. "That way, I'll be able to find you in our next life, too."
As her heartbeat raced alongside the urgent announcements, beneath a sky of rolling storm clouds that looked like the end of the world, Shen You fell for him all over again.
Later, as they traveled around Europe, Shen You endured her period pain while accompanying him to events. She watched him leave from the hotel, but when he returned, a pretty young woman was with him. The woman rose on tiptoe to brush a kiss against his cheek and whisper intimately to him.
The rain-soaked stone pavement was freezing. Shen You fell and hurt herself, so she returned home first.
When he came back, neither of them mentioned what had happened abroad. They carried on as usual, acting as if nothing had come between them.
Later, Shen You happened upon him chatting with his friends and heard him say offhandedly, "She's just an actress. What could I possibly like about her?"
Later still, news of his engagement to someone else made the headlines in Jingling. The papers were distributed all over the city, and Shen You had ten copies on her bedside table.
When she left, she left all of them for him. The day she moved out of the villa, the roses in the courtyard had finished blooming. It was exactly her sixth year with him.
Without saying goodbye, she deleted and blocked him, erasing him from her world as if he'd never existed.
Two years later, they met again on a film set. He leaned against a car door, smoking, and watched her get into another man's car.
At the celebration banquet that night, someone sent Shen You ninety-nine French roses to confess his love. He intercepted them and gave her an emerald-cut diamond ring instead. His usually cold, flirtatious eyes turned serious. "Shen You, I want to get married."
Without even glancing at the ring, Shen You picked up one of the roses and said coldly, "Mr. Qi, I've already woken up."

It's a week late, but in the parallel world, you have been dating other women for five years. Fuck you sjy
It is now 7:53 in the morning on January 6, 2023, and I have read the entire book. This book is really good to read, and the pace is relatively comfortable. I personally like this setting better, but I haven't read enough yet, so why is it over? Without further ado, I wish our Sheng Jingyan and Wen Shu to live a loving life in your world and grow old together! (PS: Hello, I have finished reading. Ah, I didn't read enough. As a result, I lost it after reading it. Although I didn't read enough, I still want to say congratulations to you for finishing the full text. Spread flowers, sprinkle flowers, sprinkle flowers, sprinkle flowers, sprinkle flowers~)
I really like Sung Kyung Yeon woooooooooooooo
Ahhhhhhhh Sheng Jingyan is so cold and cold at the moment ~ but deep down he already likes her!!!
It's great. In this world, the Wen family are all normal people and they all love the heroine.
Want to read the stories of other couples?
It was so satisfying to read the entire book at once, and Chasing the Wife in the Crematorium was my favorite gag. Great support, looking forward to the next one
After watching it, I basically thought they all had a love story about a group of 16-year-old boys and girls. If I were 28 years old, I wouldn't be able to watch it.
Stuck here, oh, yo, forced kiss
It's been ten minutes and the author continues to make more woo woo woo
