Lure Me into the Flames

As president of the Yunjian Group, Yun Xi dominates the business world with her sharp, ruthless, and petty tactics, striking fear into her competitors.

Her beautiful looks conceal a fortress of steel with no weaknesses. She isn't interested in money or men, and once famously declared:

I don't date. I only invest.

Then a handsome assistant appears at her side. They live together and are practically inseparable.

Her assistant is gentle and cool, with a face fit for the silver screen. He's far too refined to seem like an ordinary employee, yet he takes care of Yun Xi in every way, from work to daily life.

The iron-fisted CEO is completely different around her handsome assistant.

She smiles sweetly at him, eats whatever he feeds her, and leans on his shoulder for a nap when she's tired.

She even wears his shirt and lets him carry her out of her room.

Her rivals start to catch a whiff of what's going on and can't help getting restless.

So within a month, handsome Assistant Lu receives several invitations.

Yun Xi lays out the flashy invitations in a row and counts them, then gives a cold laugh.

When the weather turns cold, the king falls.

Her rival goes bankrupt.

Lu Yanbai smiles as he lifts her onto his lap. "Feeling better?"

"Not quite." Yun Xi shakes her head and strokes his cheek. "Which hand did she touch you with just now? I'll have someone cut it off."

Lu Yanbai: "..."

Yun Xi changes her motto:

You can steal my investments, but don't you dare touch my assistant.

Anyone who does will lose everything.

Having a weakness gives you a chink in your armor. But if that weakness is Lu Yanbai, what's wrong with having one?

--I thought he was the light, yet he lured me into the flames.
