Looking at the man seated at the head of the table, she curled her lips into a smile. "Out of ten thousand."

Yan Lisheng froze in the middle of marking something, his smile stiffening.

After the audition, the director took the man's score sheet. The maximum score was 100, and he'd drawn four zeros.

3. On Yan Lisheng's nineteenth birthday, his parents left him a huge sum of money. As usual, he threw it away. When he turned around, a young woman was staring at him with her mouth open.

The next day, he ran into her at the bar. She was a fascinating girl, seventeen or eighteen, with a full chest, long legs, and a pretty face. Yet she wore heavy makeup that made her look older, mixed an excellent drink, and still wanted to take care of him.

He hooked his little finger around hers and went along with it. They split a bowl of noodles and squeezed onto a tiny bed together. They never got full, but they slept well.
