Uncoupled

Blurb: Young Master He is wild and unruly, a notorious local wastrel. Lin Jianchen, the sort of exemplary child other people's parents love, calls him a playboy and a parasite on society. Three years ago, this man kissed Lin Jianchen by force as part of a dare, blowing a ring of pale smoke right into his face. Three years later, the man became his boss. Mr. He often called late at night, sounding as if it were only natural: "Come over." Lin Jianchen would drive over, only to find he was needed to look for a lighter or deal with some cat that had come from who-knows-where. "Mr. He, you can't even take care of a cat?" He held back his anger, convinced that he was being punished. He Qing leaned against the doorway and said casually, "I found it. It looked pitiful." Later, Lin Jianchen got completely drunk at a business dinner, and Mr. He drove all the way from a neighboring city in the middle of the night to pick up this big cat. "Are you taking pity on me, Mr. He?" He Qing didn't answer directly. Smoke obscured his expression. "Now that things have come to this, would you consider taking a shortcut?" Well... shortcuts really are great. A flirtatious beauty who overplays his hand, and a fish who starts out arrogant and prejudiced but eventually bites the hook willingly. Premise: Be careful when looking for work, and stay alert to scams.
