Blasphemy

Chi Xuejin is the young high priest in charge of rituals in Miaojiang. With peach-blossom eyes, a cool, snowy air, silver hair, and dark eyes, he looks every bit a divine priest.

He is his people’s faith and their god, born without desire or worldly attachments.

Until a young man arrives. After staying for a few days, he catches the silver butterfly resting on the priest’s shoulder before he leaves and tempts him: "Would you like to come see the world outside with me?"

The young priest’s heart is stirred, and he abandons his people to leave for the world beyond.

A month later, the priest returns, his body icy and his silver hair soaked through.

He, too, has been abandoned.

Yu Qiu has forgotten something very important, but he can never remember what it is.

Half a month later, while celebrating a friend's birthday, he unexpectedly runs into a silver-haired man with striking, richly beautiful features and a cool, aloof air.

Yu Qiu falls in love at first sight and spends days doggedly pursuing him before finally winning him over.

The two are inseparable, blissfully in love.

Until an accident leads Yu Qiu to touch the iron box the man has kept hidden. Its ornate lock falls away, and a vivid silver butterfly flies out.

It slowly comes to rest on Yu Qiu's fingertip.

At that moment, Yu Qiu sees his own near future:

He is pinned to the bed, while Chi Xuejin holds him with a sick, possessive tenderness, rubbing his lips again and again with a fingertip devoid of warmth.
