The Freeloader Gong Was Reborn and Won’t Do It Anymore!

I'm a nobody in the entertainment industry, one of the bottom-rung stars. After two years with no prospects, I decide to find a sugar daddy at my agent's suggestion.

My sugar daddy treats me well, and she's beautiful and rich. The only problem is that she's the wrong gender.

I'm a straight man through and through. I only like women.

But it's a job, right? She'll probably trade me in after a year or two anyway. By then, I'll have both fame and fortune. I can find any kind of woman I want!

Then I'll marry a woman and have three kids!

...My sugar daddy never got tired of me. We ended up together for a full twenty years.

I'm forty, with wrinkles at the corners of my eyes, and practically useless now (I'm perfectly capable, and my sugar daddy is very satisfied. I'm just being modest). She's still as devoted to me as ever.

I've decided to give up and make the best of it. Since we don't have kids, we can raise three dogs instead. Then, at a friends' gathering, I get a little tipsy and brag that I'm about to have kids. I also complain about my sugar daddy a bit, and she overhears me.

My sugar daddy thinks I'm cheating.

Maybe I really drank too much. My brain short-circuits, and I stubbornly refuse to admit that the kids I meant were a few dogs.

She hits me.

I want to break up.

But when I walk out, she actually doesn't come after me. She must be tired of me being useless and using this as an excuse to dump me.

I'm so upset that I walk along with my head down, sulking and not watching the road, and get hit by a car.

After I'm reborn, I reflect deeply and decide that, apart from watching for cars when crossing the road, I can't stay with my sugar daddy.

In my previous life, I was an uneducated fool who barely graduated elementary school. Hitching myself to a powerful person was pretty much my only way of making money. But things are different now.

I didn't live all those years for nothing. In my previous life, my sugar daddy paid for me to attend an Ivy League school. When she couldn't handle things herself, she also had me take care of the company.

I did a great job, and she praised me many times.

So I decide to build my wealth with my own two hands.

And fulfill my dream of marrying a woman and having three kids.

In the end, I still raise three dogs.

[The protagonist regains memories of his previous life partway through. A sweet romance focused on their relationship.]

Theme: Watch for cars when you cross the road!!!
