Synopsis:

Not long after returning to the country, Xu Zhiyuan received an invitation from the renowned director Gu Yiming.

It was for a romance film about a same-sex couple.

He had never been interested in acting or the entertainment industry, and never expected that the other male lead in the film would be his ex-boyfriend of many years, Xie Jinze, now a top star.

What would it feel like to star in a same-sex romance film with an ex-boyfriend he still loved?

He couldn't put it into words, but his eyes met Xie Jinze's, deep as still water.

With his heart pounding deafeningly, he heard him say:

Xu Zhiyuan saw the breakfasts laid out for him every morning, each one more inventive than the last; the hands Xie Jinze held tightly even while they filmed a promotional video; the flowers in all sorts of arrangements that appeared on the passenger seat whenever he opened the car door; and the diamond ring Xie Jinze had spent a fortune on, then openly shown to the media...

Whether it was a variety show, a commercial shoot, or an online or in-person event, wherever Xu Zhiyuan was, Xie Jinze's fans could spot their idol there too.

It was as if he could see through the present and witness the future they had shared, when they were still in love before their breakup.

But things never go according to plan:

Xu Zhiyuan's ex-boyfriend before Xie Jinze, Sun Yang, missed him so much that he bought a plane ticket home in the middle of the night. After finally working up the courage to invite Xu Zhiyuan to dinner, he showed up full of hope, only to bring his rival in love, Xie Jinze, along.

And Ji Jingchen, Xu Zhiyuan's childhood friend who had secretly loved him for years, finally couldn't sit still with two rivals making such aggressive moves.

He closed his eyes, steeled himself, grabbed Xu Zhiyuan by the chin, and kissed him.

As an onlooker and the chef, Ren Feng watched the whole mess turn into a complete madhouse. He stirred it with a spoon in satisfaction, then threw the whole pot, spoon and all, into the trash.
