A Marked Alpha Is So Hard to Handle

Blurb: As a top-tier Alpha, Jiang Yunbian is the arrogant, unruly school heartthrob at No. 3 High School. He never dates, and his self-control is terrifyingly strong. His classmates think only the sweetest, softest Omega could ever shake Jiang Yunbian. Then, on the very first day of moving into the dorms, Someone pressed a hand to the back of the school heartthrob's neck and left him marked with another person's pheromones. The one who bit him was the desk mate who had taken a year off school due to illness. That supposedly frail, delicate young master from a wealthy family, Zhou Die. * Zhou Die is a rare Enigma, with absolute control over any pheromones. An Alpha marked by him will transform into his exclusive Omega. An exclusive Omega's pheromones will become sweet and soft. A flower-like mark unique to Enigmas will also appear on their abdomen. * As an Alpha, the one thing Jiang Yunbian absolutely cannot accept is being marked. He'll bite him back! After the marking was complete, Zhou Die looked at the Alpha curled up in the blankets and chuckled. "Jiang Yunbian, are you always this difficult?" Jiang Yunbian's eyes shimmered with tears. "Get lost. I'll bite you back sooner or later." * A new scent appeared on Jiang Yunbian. Just as everyone was wondering which Omega had been captured by him... A photo of Jiang Yunbian sleeping soundly appeared on Zhou Die's social media feed. Caption: Hard to soothe. * 1. The Enigma setting comes from Japanese manga, with some elements adopted and changed. 2. Lots of creative liberties. [Reading note: 1. This novel is not suitable for readers with extreme character preferences. 2. E is a gender designation, and Yunbian does not become an O in the end. Please do not conflate the novel's plot with reality.] [The school heartthrob is fierce in his own eyes but easy to soothe, an Alpha who acts cool and aloof in public but turns into a clingy sweetheart in private x the cold, aloof genius Enigma] [Screenshot taken on February 21, 2021] Check out my upcoming novel: The Wicked Beta Everyone Fights Over [Blurb screenshotted on December 3, 2025] [The blurb isn't from the bottom's perspective, but the novel is primarily told from the bottom's perspective] The first time Sheng Yunji heard the name Chi Song, it was from someone else. A top beauty Beta at T University, a beauty who gets away with anything, and who turns no one away. A shameless gold digger, through and through. The first time Sheng Yunji met Chi Song was at his brother's house. The beauty looked languid and drowsy, his eyes moist, wearing nothing but a white shirt that fell to his knees. The collar was partly open and the sleeves casually rolled up. Bite and kiss marks covered his neck, arms, and thighs, plain for all to see. In the room before them, his brother's normally restrained sandalwood pheromones were still running wild with desire. Every corner was filled with the lingering intimacy and satisfaction of what had just happened. Sheng Yunji's gaze darkened with disgust. "Are you... my brother's boyfriend?" "Nope." Chi Song smiled. "Your brother and I only met last night." Sheng Yunji sneered. Hah, the gold digger has set his sights on his own family now. * In the eyes of outsiders, Sheng Jinlin is a distant, aloof, noble and arrogant beauty on a mountaintop. He has received over a hundred love letters over the years, and not one of them ever went anywhere. But as his younger brother, Sheng Yunji knows better than anyone that his brother is stiff and dull, has no idea how to charm people, and knows nothing about intimacy. My brother must have been tricked. Chi Song really lives up to his reputation as a gold digger. He's so awful. To prove his suspicions, Sheng Yunji investigated and asked around, even tailing Chi Song, determined to expose his true colors. Then he got his answer. Chi Song really is a wicked, spoiled fox spirit! A master at playing with people's hearts! A Beta who can stir up more possessiveness in an Alpha than an Omega can! Fall for him, and you're doomed to be his toy dog! The more Sheng Yunji thought about it, the angrier he got. He lowered his head and rubbed against the shoulder of the person in his arms with a hint of aggression, biting and kissing him. His voice was full of jealousy and resentment. "Chi Song, has my brother been here?" * After they got together, one thing continued to eat at Sheng Yunji. Back then, Sheng Jinlin had lost control during his rut and bitten the back of Chi Song's neck until it was a bloody mess. Chi Song had viciously slapped him. Later, Chi Song threw a Beta pregnancy report in Sheng Yunji's face, then slapped him too. Sheng Yunji turned his face away and pressed the tip of his tongue against his cheek. Good. Now I have what that guy has, too. * Brothers at odds, fighting and competing for the same person. Theme: Face your true self and become the person you want to be.
