I Confessed to My Archrival in Front of the Entire School

Yu Cen is diagnosed with a terminal illness. He only has a few days left to live.

After much soul-searching, Yu Cen asks himself: What regrets does he have about his short life?

A few minutes later.

Yu Cen: "..."

Too many.

He's never been in love, never ranked first, and never beaten Guan Zhiya.

The first two aren't things he can simply decide to have, so Yu Cen decides to work on the last one.

So...

At a school-wide assembly hosted by the principal, he confesses to Guan Zhiya.

"Guan Zhiya! I like you! You're electricity! You're light! You're the springtime of this world! You're my one and only idol! You're the everlasting legend of our No. 2 High School! I like you so much! I love you most of all!!!"

The entire hall falls silent as the grave.

Yu Cen: That felt great.

If I can't beat you, I can gross you out.

Even when I'm dead, I'm going to make sure you have a bad time.

Yu Cen feels triumphant.

He feels triumphant enough to face death without a problem.

Five days later, Yu Cen still isn't dead.

Ten days later, Yu Cen still isn't dead.

N days later...

Yu Cen: ??? Why am I still alive and well?

Back at school,

Guan Zhiya: "I heard you like me."

Yu Cen: "Sorry, I have amnesia. Who are you?"

The school's perennial second-ranked academic ace has suddenly confessed in public. The object of his affection is the perennial first-ranked ace.

Everyone is absolutely stunned.

The students at Bo'er High think the second-place student has been kept down by the top student for a thousand years and is finally getting revenge. They're just waiting to see how the top student will strike back.

But before long, they find out the two are actually together?!

And what's more, they unexpectedly make a pretty good couple?!

With the two academic aces off dating, some people set their sights on the top two spots in the grade.

They're just waiting to see the couple tumble down the rankings together.

Instead, the two keep holding on to first and second place, and end up going to Peking University together?

Fine.
