[Jujutsu Kaisen] The Gods' Last Stand

Crimson, dark raven, pure white, indigo... Swaying threads wrap around everyone, their trembling strands on the verge of snapping, connecting people through their pitiful, fragile ties.

The sunset sets half the city ablaze, and you want to forget.

You can't forget the lights shining along the bustling city streets. Warm yellow lamplight falls into his eyes as he cuts into a soft, delicious dessert, tiny sparks of joy glimmering in his gaze.

The snowdrops whiten the entire courtyard, and you want to forget.

You can't forget the hand that once pulled you down from a decaying, crumbling altar, only to abandon you in a pale world, leaving you to stumble and stagger until, one step at a time, you returned to the unreachable divine palanquin of the mortal world.

A comet's long tail sweeps past the bright moon, and you want to forget.

You can't forget the layers of cause and effect peeling away, the hand lantern glowing dimly beside the wall of an old-fashioned courtyard. He gently takes your hand and tears open the blackout curtain of a new world with you.

A faint, trembling silver light reflects pure black, and you want to forget.

You can't forget eyes drawing infinitely close, the intertwining causes and effects engraved on your heart. He leans against your shoulder, like a tranquil summer night, while you are the clear, bright moon illuminating him.

The world is silent.

You can't make out the figure approaching against the light, stepping onto moss-covered stone stairs, one step at a time, walking over souls to reach you.

The gods remain high above.

Someone sits beside you. Someone draws you into the mortal world.

[Highlight] Content warning: This is my take on a short otome-style story. The characters have names, but they don't appear much. Happy ending, but don't expect sweetness or much catharsis, and there's very little plot. The actual story isn't as flowery as the blurb makes it sound, because I can't write like that (surprise!).

Open ending. Choose one of the two male leads, Satoru Gojo or Suguru Geto (though you can imagine a three-person relationship afterward). Satoru Gojo has very little screen time, except for more in the bonus chapters.
