***Main Story***
1. With her father's sound decisions and hard work, Lin Zaozao's family gradually builds a comfortable life.
2. Childhood friends, innocent young love. The romance is a slow burn, following Lin Zaozao and Lan Tian as they grow up and build a business together.
***Blurb***
Three generations of Lin Zaozao's family have been members of the Production and Construction Corps, reclaiming land and guarding the frontier.
She was born in the mid-1980s, deep in the Gobi Desert on the far northwestern edge of the country, a place many people from the interior imagine is so remote that children ride camels to school.
Lin Zaozao has no wealthy family, no powerful relatives, and no chance to attend a top school. She's as ordinary as they come.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, people in the Corps wanted to move to the city. By the late 1990s and early 2000s, city dwellers envied Corps members for having land. Lin Zaozao's family, however, seem to have luck on their side. When they want to move to the city, they get urban residency. When they want land, the Corps starts leasing its fields to individual households.
They navigate life between the city and the Corps with ease, building a business and prospering.
Thirty years east of the river, thirty years west. See how Lin Zaozao's family stays on top through every change of fortune!
***Reader's Guide***
1. This is the coming-of-age and entrepreneurial story of an ordinary girl born in the 1980s to a family of military farmers who reclaim land and guard the frontier.
2. The story focuses on the everyday lives of the heroine and her family, without many dramatic twists and turns.
3. There is no golden finger, and this isn't a wish-fulfillment story. They rely entirely on themselves, and neither the heroine nor the hero is perfect. They have known each other since childhood, and gradually grow and change as they support and influence one another.
4. The story is set in a remote frontier region. Some scenes are inspired by the author's childhood and may not occur in many other places.
5. The place names and some events are fictionalized by the author based on real experiences. Please don't criticize, nitpick, or read too much into them.
6. Reclaiming land and guarding the frontier: This refers to settling down to cultivate fields and defending the borderlands.

Blurb:
On her way home during the Spring Festival travel rush, Su Haitang falls asleep on a high-speed train and wakes up as the cannon-fodder supporting character in a rebirth period novel.
Her mother died when she was three. The night her father married her stepmother, he was urgently called away on a mission and never returned. For the sake of her father's compensation, her stepmother married her off to the father of the novel's heroine. From then on, she became a miserable, unwelcome girl living under someone else's roof, a foil to the heroine.
They're both stepdaughters, but...
The heroine has her father backing her and her older brother protecting her. She enjoys the best food and clothes, never has to do a day's work, gets into college using memories from her previous life, lands a coveted job at the Bureau of Agriculture, and marries a nationally renowned entrepreneur. Everything goes her way, and she rises higher and higher, living a glamorous life.
The original Su Haitang, on the other hand, has no one to love or care for her. She's always hungry and cold. From a young age, she has to do every chore at home and earn work points in the fields. Her life is hard from beginning to end:
She works hard to get into college, but her stepmother sells her admission letter. Half the money goes toward household expenses, and the other half pays for the heroine's college education.
She goes to the city to work as a nanny, but is bullied before she can even start the job. She's forced to marry a foolish man, in exchange for a permanent city job for the heroine's brother.
After the wedding, she has to care for her paralyzed mother-in-law and endure her cruel father-in-law's abuse. In the end, she suffers a mental breakdown and is admitted to a psychiatric hospital. The compensation from her husband's family becomes the heroine's startup capital.
Good grief! How is this a foil? She's a complete sucker!
When Su Haitang read the book, she couldn't stand the cannon-fodder girl who shared her name. She hated how the girl never fought back when people bullied her, and even helped them count the money after they sold her. If it were Su Haitang, she would never let her tormentors off the hook. Who knew she'd turn into the very same sucker?
There's no way she's going to be a sucker. Su Haitang isn't someone people can push around, especially now that she has an overpowered System. She can hardly keep up with all the skills it gives her: superhuman abilities, skills that defy science. If the Host can imagine it, the System can provide it.
She'll send the bad guys to prison and make her bullies pay for what they've done. She'll go to college, conduct research, open a factory, and make a fortune, shining brightly in this vibrant, youthful era!
Du Chunxing has been reborn. In her previous life, Su Haitang, another stepdaughter, got into college, joined the Bureau of Agriculture after graduating, and married the nouveau riche Liang Cunxiao.
Though Liang Cunxiao was plain-looking and had a young child in tow, he was a good provider and treated his wife with care. His stepson was also obedient and well-behaved, treating Su Haitang like his own mother.
Du Chunxing, by contrast, failed the college entrance exam. Desperate to move to the city, she married the foolish son of a leather-factory owner. She had to care for her husband and his paralyzed mother, while enduring her cruel father-in-law's abuse. She became ill from exhaustion and died young.
Reborn before the college entrance exam, Du Chunxing resolves to make Su Haitang the one who gets left behind.
She persuades her stepmother to have her father sell Su Haitang's admission letter, convinces her father to send Su Haitang to work as a nanny for the leather-factory owner's family, and schemes to marry Liang Cunxiao herself.
But to her astonishment, Su Haitang never falls for any of it. She gets her admission letter and goes to college, becomes a celebrated businesswoman, and is cherished by her husband. Her life is even happier and more glamorous than it was in her previous life.
Du Chunxing, meanwhile, gets her wish and marries Liang Cunxiao, but her husband grows distant and her stepson despises her. After an affair ends in divorce, she doesn't get a penny. It seems her rebirth was for nothing.
Theme: Keep pace with the times, seize opportunities, and turn adversity into prosperity.
I've finished reading it. The author's writing is good and well done. Come on.
I think Lan Tian is very smart and does not put the cart before the horse. No matter what he does in the future, he must at least read the book well and get the certificate!
What I hate the most is this disgusting thing of knowing that someone else has a girlfriend but still brazenly stalking her and thinking she is justified!
It's very good to insist on buying it yourself early on. Girls just need to know that they really have something if they have it!
My aunt is really nice. My father brought her out and saved her, and my aunt tried her best to help him. Such a wonderful family!

There is a place where the blue sky turns blue orchid
This is not a recycling center for spicy chickens. Get out of here, scumbag!
The stupid dormitory in my university often threw things away, which was very disgusting. The funniest thing was that a classmate had eaten one layer of bacon from her lunch box, so she wrote a note: Put away your dog's claws and blow your dog's head off!
Ohhh, isn't she the girl who was short of money before?
