The Taoist Priest Takes a Comedic Route in a Tragic Romance

Qing Fu, the most enigmatic Taoist priest in history. He once extracted endless wealth from emperors of every dynasty and toyed with the most noble people in the world as if they were in the palm of his hand. Then he transmigrated into an angsty romance novel as the villainous male supporting character. And was ordered to turn the plot around and spread truth, goodness, and beauty. Qing Fu glared darkly at the scoundrel System that had bound him while he slept: You want to die? Card-Drawing System: 0V0? The System had no idea what sort of person it had picked a fight with, yet still imagined it could guide him. So when a thoroughly wicked villain was about to make a move, System: [Ding! You have drawn the Nie Xiaoqian card. We recommend using the Gentle Persuasion skill...] Qing Fu slapped Nie Xiaoqian onto the villain's face: There's no saving him. Eat him. System, Nie Xiaoqian: ??? When an important character was attacked by evil spirits, System: [Ding! You have drawn the Judge Lu card. We recommend using the Intimidation skill...] Qing Fu sneered and used his ritual sword to push Judge Lu aside: Stand right here and watch the child. Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back. System, Judge Lu: ??? When guiding a young, corrupted male lead back to the right path, System: [Ding! You have drawn the Ning Caichen card. We recommend educating him with knowledge...] Qing Fu coldly tossed out the Fa Hai card: If you won't behave, I'll shave your head and make you a monk. System, Fa Hai: ???? That's not right!! Months later, everyone gradually realized something was off: Aren't we ghosts, monsters, gods, and demons, or a card-drawing System? Shouldn't Qing Fu be begging us and spending money on us? Why are we the ones working like oxen and horses for Qing Fu, making money and running errands? The System and the cards all begged in despair: Please use us properly, Host! The characters from the angsty romance novel wailed in agony: If the System can handle it, please don't do it yourself! Qing Fu: I hope everyone will be sensible. If something can be handled by learning truth, goodness, and beauty, then please try not to make me step in. Theme: Be practical and work hard. Don't rely on others; strive for success through your own efforts.
