Bungo Stray Dogs was just an ordinary runaway hit.
Like every hit that faded after its moment in the spotlight, it had many volumes, but eventually the story ran out of steam, and all that was left was nostalgia to sell.
Nostalgia didn't sell well. One brilliant, gripping work after another appeared, and so a novel called The End of the Gods was born.
The Calamity God was dead!
His death, like every appearance he'd made before, sent shockwaves through the world and caused an enormous uproar.
Nostalgia was satisfied, the capital was revitalized, and countless people wept for the hero of their past. The Calamity God was great once more.
Everyone, that is, except Tangze Iori, who had made the Calamity God his reason to keep living. He completely lost his mind.
After his death, Tangze Iori unexpectedly discovered that the world he'd been reborn into was the world of Bungo Stray Dogs.

1. Iori is a Chuuya devotee and, at heart, a wingman for Dazai and Chuuya. (P.S. Dazai/Chuuya is completely switchable.)
2. There is no main pairing. If you insist on one, it's sort of self-shipping. Tangze Iori is such a hardcore fanatic that he can't be paired with anyone.
To be clear, he has no romantic feelings for Nakahara Chuuya. On the contrary, from the start, he believed Dazai Osamu had a responsibility and obligation toward Chuuya.
