There's a Female Ghost in My House

After two years of searching, the real estate agent who had been helping Xu Bai finally found a home she liked.

It was affordable and had plenty of natural light.

Xu Bai signed the contract and moved in that very night.

According to the agent, the previous owner had been in a hurry to move abroad and had left all the furniture behind. It was as if she’d bought the place without needing to renovate it.

Lying in bed, Xu Bai marveled for the first time at how lucky she was.

As night wore on, a sobbing sound woke her. Xu Bai sat up and opened one eye.

She searched for the source of the sound. In the corner of the bed, beyond the reach of the bedside lamp,

a black blob shrank back.

Xu Bai froze. At the foot of the bed, something with dark, hollow eyes and no whites was staring at her.

Red blood trickled from its eye sockets.

Xu Bai rubbed her temples and said, “You over there, little bald guy, you’re too noisy.”

After a moment of silence...

“Waaaaah!” It started crying even louder.

In the moonlight, Xu Bai could clearly see the little ghost’s gleaming bald head. It was impossible to tell whether it was male or female.

Xu Bai rubbed her tousled hair and impatiently called over, “Little bald guy, shut up.”

Xu Bai was met with an even louder wail, accompanied by the little bald guy’s quiet muttering.

“Waaah, you’re bullying a ghost!”
