A Demon’s Guide to Raising Humans

If nothing unexpected happened, Chu Manying would become just like her older sister: a tool her father used to curry favor with the powerful, married off to some man who could benefit the family.

In the first half of her life, every choice had to be worthwhile.

So after meeting the man her father had chosen for her, Chu Manying couldn't help doing the one truly rebellious thing she would ever do.

She stepped into the black space that had appeared out of nowhere.

And then.

There, she met an evil spirit.

Ansel Mason grew wild and did whatever he pleased in the southern part of the Land of Evil Spirits, ruling his own corner of it.

He usually either devoured ghosts or went next door to pick a fight with Finnian.

But lately, he had been a little troubled. Finnian had stopped fighting him.

Finnian said he had picked up a human, and their fights would scare her.

Mason immediately asked, "Does she taste good?"

Finnian rolled his eyes and said humans were soft and fragrant, not food.

Finnian said, "There's no getting through to an evil spirit like you!"

Mason scoffed. Finnian had learned all the hypocrisy and cunning of humans. If she wasn't food, why had he picked her up?

With Finnian no longer around to fight him, Mason had energy to spare and could only amuse himself by driving ghosts out of his territory and slaughtering them.

Until one day, he found a human in his territory.

A very fragrant human.

Humans were fragile. Just a light touch could make them swell up.

The food humans ate was different from his, too.

And humans loved to cry.

Mason found it a little troublesome, but this human was very pretty.

Especially after he came of age, he discovered that humans were actually resilient, as well as soft.

The human seemed to especially like his tentacles, particularly when they were **.

The human's belly was always empty again before long, so it needed food and ** to fill it.

Mason thought he might have fallen for a human.

Fallen for Chu Manying.

So desire had overcome appetite.
