You Said You Didn't Like Me

[I couldn't come up with the original blurb, so apologies for changing the premise] Yi Shuang considers herself an ordinary person: her name, height, looks, family background, and social skills... In everything except her grades, she's neither the best nor the worst. Even the boy she likes at school is as popular as they come: Shen Suiyu, a handsome upperclassman with countless admirers. Of course, having a crush isn't part of Yi Shuang's life plan. Everything changed one late night. That night, Yi Shuang got a call from a friend and rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night. Her friend, who had nearly died at the hands of a drunk driver, was still shaken as she shared her newfound wisdom: "Shuang, I suddenly get it. If there's something you want to do, you have to do it now. Follow your heart! What if you suddenly die tomorrow? It'll be too late to regret it." As Yi Shuang left the hospital, she happened to see her crush standing beneath a tree, looking like he was waiting for someone. She thought it over, decided to follow her heart, and went up to confess, calmly waiting to be turned down. Shen Suiyu, his hands in his pockets, looked down at her and casually said yes. Yi Shuang: "...What? Should I explain that my life plan only leaves me free for the next four months? Oh, well, even if we date, it won't last four months anyway. So never mind." On the first day of their relationship, Yi Shuang cautiously asked, "How serious are you about this relationship?" Shen Suiyu scoffed. "What do you think?" Yi Shuang was relieved. "So it's just for fun, after all." After four unexpectedly pleasant months together, Yi Shuang, about to head overseas as her life plan dictated, took the initiative to break up. Shen Suiyu couldn't believe it. "Why?" Yi Shuang was hesitant too. "Uh, because we were just having fun?" Shen Suiyu: "?" #No wonder he has a naturally rakish face #Nobody would believe him if he said this was his first pure love Reader's guide: 1. They are each other's first love, but they don't both fall for each other right away. 2. A short story, should be finished in under 200,000 words. 3. Yi Shuang's belief that she's "ordinary" is somewhat of a misconception. Other people don't think so (.) Theme: Honesty is essential if you want to make a relationship work!!
