Shi Lingzhen is a demonic cultivator, a thoroughly orthodox one.
Her junior sister is hopelessly in love with a certain righteous young hero. Their passionate romance is a tangle of love, hate, and near-death drama, enough to fill eight hundred chapters of a storybook. Anyone who hears it is heartbroken; anyone who sees it sheds tears.
Only Shi Lingzhen, the senior sister, sits by with an expressionless face, munching on melon seeds and providing commentary: "Are you crazy?" "Is he crazy?"
.
What goes around comes around. For no apparent reason, Shi Lingzhen gets bound to a Supporting Female Character Comeback System.
A supporting female character’s role boils down to two things: being infatuated with the male lead and targeting the female lead. Being infatuated never ends well, and targeting the female lead always fails. Then she’s bound to get humiliated by the male and female leads working together. The ending depends on how low the author is willing to go.
Shi Lingzhen’s mission is to change the supporting character’s fate, suppress the female lead, win over the male lead, and ultimately use the Son of Destiny’s fortune to repair the sacred artifact damaged in her sect.
Shi Lingzhen is so startled that she drops her melon seeds. "Am I crazy?"
.
Shi Lingzhen reads the script from beginning to end three times, then carefully studies the requirements three times, and finally nods. "Fine. Got it."
The System is relieved. It believes that someone as unscrupulous and willing to do anything as Shi Lingzhen will surely complete the mission.
Only later does the System realize it was far too quick to relax.
.
While the male and female leads agonize over how righteousness and evil can never coexist, Shi Lingzhen has already united the martial world.
While the male and female leads act out a story about a domineering prince falling in love with me, Shi Lingzhen has already seized the throne.
While the male and female leads play out a tale of forced love and running away while pregnant, Shi Lingzhen is already on the verge of buying out the male lead’s company.
