After the death of music superstar Yu Zhao, she transmigrates two thousand years into the past, to the end of the Ji Dynasty, when war rages and the feudal lords vie for supremacy.
According to history, an empress will rise from nowhere, conquer the warring states, pacify the realm, and become the Yuan Emperor, leaving her name for all eternity.
But Yu Zhao hasn't become the Yuan Emperor, Qin Louyue. Instead, she's become the younger sister of the Yuan Emperor's husband, who died young.
Her grandmother rules from behind the curtain, her mother weeps every day, and her father, once held hostage in a neighboring state, has long since died of illness. Yu Zhao herself is exiled abroad, with no way to return home.
You ask about her brother? He went to join their father an hour ago. This identity belongs to her now.
Yu Zhao: ...
#What pose should I strike to cling to the leg of the empress who supposedly seized power after killing her husband without getting killed? Urgently awaiting answers#
.
After King Cheng of Ji dies, she is reborn seven hundred years in the future, only to find her dynasty is somehow still hanging on.
Even so, the realm is now in chaos, with people suffering in the midst of war. It looks like the dynasty won't be able to hang on much longer.
And in her new life, she isn't a member of the Yu family who can interfere in court politics. She's Qin Louyue, an unloved princess of a small state.
Her mother died young, her father favors someone else, and she's been branded an ill omen. Soon she'll be sent to a neighboring state to marry some good-for-nothing named Yu Zhao.
By the reckoning of their generations, that person is probably her great-great-great-great... great-grandchild.
Qin Louyue: ...
#Is there still time to hurry back, dig up my previous life's grave, use the burial treasures to raise an army, and beat those unfilial descendants to death?#
.
P.S.
1. Two female leads, not a yuri romance. Each has her own career arc, and they respect the history of that world instead of rewriting it.
2. Yu Zhao has a romance. Qin Louyue has only her three thousand harem members.
