The Frail Persona Is on the Brink of Collapse

Word has it that the new Princess Consort of Prince Ping'an is frail and sickly. A certain palace consort didn't believe it and decided to strike while she was ill, and finish her off. The night was stormy and windy. The next day, word spread that the princess consort was seriously ill and bedridden. The palace sent an imperial physician to treat her. To express his gratitude, Prince Ping'an asked the physician to deliver a brocade box to the consort. Inside was the head of the assassin, severed from the neck. “Does she find life too comfortable, so she has to pick a fight with me?” Yang Qingyuan sat on the bed, utterly baffled by the whole thing. Yan Huaiming, washing her feet, said, “The assassin is dead. She won’t cause trouble for a while.” “Is that so? She only wanted to pick a fight?” Yang Qingyuan smiled. “Never mind. I’m in a good mood lately, so I’ll let it go for now.” “I’ll protect you. Go to sleep without worry.” Yang Qingyuan gazed at her husband, more pleased with him the longer she looked. “Yan Huaiming, even if I end up in the underworld, I’ll drag you along and make you be a pair of wicked ghosts with me.” Yan Huaiming looked up and smiled. “As you command.” Premise: We worked so hard to be together. We can’t split up halfway through.
