Master and Servant

Tan Jian first met Lu Fan in that filthy underground fighting arena.

He lay on the icy floor, peering through the blood smeared across his eyes at the gleaming leather boots that had stopped beside him.

Tan Jian raised his head, gazing almost obsessively at the face bathed in light.

The fair, beautiful young master looked down at him, the line of his jaw taut and striking.

"Do you want to get out of here?" the young master asked, his voice carrying a casual arrogance and the refined air of nobility.

He leaned forward slightly and held out a hand to Tan Jian, who was filthy from head to toe.

Tan Jian stared at the white-gloved hand and did not respond for a long while.

He was too dirty. If he took that hand, the young master's white glove would get soiled.

Lu Fan raised an eyebrow slightly, thinking the other man was displeased that he was wearing gloves.

He gave a mocking laugh. "What, you want me to take off my glove?"

"When you earn the right, I'll take it off."

Later--

Tan Jian removed Lu Fan's white gloves with his own hands, then teasingly undid the elaborate, exquisite clothes he wore.

Kneeling beside the bed, he lowered his head and reverently kissed the back of that pale hand.

"Have I earned the right now?"

Lu Fan sat on the bed, the corners of his eyes flushed red. He tugged Tan Jian by the collar and leaned close to his ear. "Of course."

Note: The subordinate rises above his superior.

I'm no good at coming up with Western names, so I'm using Chinese names for now.
