After being forced into the role despite his heartfelt refusal, Sawada Tsunayoshi inherited the Vongola and planned to use ten thousand percent effort to run the whole organization into the ground.
He never expected the Vongola to not only survive, but thrive, while he became the one suffering instead.
His original plan was to recruit a bunch of walking disasters who looked certain to cause trouble and put the company in the red. But the boss, who had hoped to slack off at work, found himself surrounded by hardworking, hypercompetitive office drones.
Subordinate No. 1 lives by the 996 schedule: "Leave it to me, Tenth! Clearing a two-meter-high stack of paperwork in no time is an essential quality for a capable right-hand man!"
Subordinate No. 2 works all year without a break: "Boss, I'm going on a business trip. Boss, I'm going to suppress a rebellion in the west. Boss, I'm going to deal with that useless mackerel. What? A vacation? Don't talk to me about something so un-mafia!"
Subordinate No. 3 voluntarily works 007: "If I never clock out, I never have to clock in. If I never sleep, I never have to get up. Coffee... Give me coffee. I need caf-fe-ine..."
Then there's subordinate No. 4, who never takes sick leave, never asks for pay, and volunteers to go undercover; subordinate No. 5, who drags No. 6 into the lab until they forget to eat, then calls in No. 7, poached from a pharmaceutical company, to research biotechnology; subordinate No. 8, who bites all the enemies to death before anyone else can; and subordinate No. 9, who works for the Vongola while holding down several other jobs...
But what makes the head of the organization most ready to cry is that one subordinate's office-drone spirit has been turned on him. They feel restless if they don't make him work 996 and give him a "loving baptism" every day.
Sawada Tsunayoshi: ...I can't live like this anymore.
