Dostoevsky Urges Me to Be Good

"So... your ideal is to erase supernatural abilities and build a world of ordinary people, is that right?" I asked Fyodor.

He nodded.

"I don't think that's good enough." I shook my head.

Fyodor smiled, as though he wanted to say something.

Before he could speak, I cut him off:

"It's too weak. I suggest wiping out all of humanity instead."

"...Does that include yourself?" Fyodor asked. The smile on his face looked a little strange.

"Of course." I replied as if it were obvious. "Since there are other living things on Earth, I won't say something like, 'My ideal is for the Earth to explode'..."

"But if there were a button in front of me that could make all of humanity vanish in an instant, I'd be happy to press it a hundred times."

"And why, you ask...? Because humans are hopeless, of course."

Just a random idea... I don't know how to write it yet.
