[The King's Avatar] Find the Magician a Plant

Nan Xing, an invisible trainee at the Tiny Herb training camp, finally found a chance to stop her captain and force him to watch twenty minutes of Liu Qian's Spring Festival Gala magic compilation.

"Boss, do you know what the limitation is of a Battle Mage using a broom as a weapon?"

"...What?"

"He doesn't have a mop."

Wang Jiexi fell silent. Fang Shiqian, who was watching nearby, was struggling to keep a straight face. There were so many things to roast that he didn't know where to start.

She asked again:

"Then do you know what a magician's limitation is?"

"What exactly are you trying to say?" Wang Jiexi asked her.

"I mean," Nan Xing said with a smile, showing two little fangs, "a magician can't do without his assistant, either."

In 2045, China's Glory scene was short on talent. The Korean division had dominated the World Invitational Tournament for years, and viewership for domestic competitions was dismal.

That was until the final, when Tian Nanxing recreated the Magician's playing style from twenty years earlier. She defended the ring in a one-against-three match, bringing China's division back to its former glory in one fell swoop.

At the celebratory banquet, everyone praised her as the second Magician. But she always believed she was only a clumsy imitator, someone who had glimpsed that man's thoughts in recordings after day upon day of careful study.

How could someone who had never seen the real Magician take on that title?

After waking from a long sleep, she found herself twenty-five years in the past, an obscure trainee at Tiny Herb's training camp.

By then, Wang Jiexi had already taken on the responsibility of leading Tiny Herb. He had just sealed away the Magician and was learning how to adapt his playstyle to the team.

Tiny Herb certainly didn't need a second Magician. But Nan Xing thought that if she hadn't been able to win, she wouldn't have liked imitating someone else's playstyle, either.

In a magic show, who matters most besides the magician himself?

A magician can deceive everyone, even himself...

But he can never deceive his own assistant.

She would make the magician soar across the stage once again.
