Master, I'm Sorry, I Have a Thing for Ugly Guys

During the entrance test for the largest immortal sect in the cultivation world, Xu Jue

excelled and finally made it to the last round.

And the final round was a multiple-choice question:

Choose one of the following celestial beasts to be your guardian beast

Xu Jue was dazzled by the dazzling array of celestial beasts.

There were beautiful ones, adorable ones, powerful ones, handsome ones, and all kinds of rare species.

But in the end, Xu Jue was captivated by a creature covered in black fur, standing upright like a human with bulging muscles, protruding eyes, buck teeth, and drool dripping from its mouth like an idiot. Its back was hunched and covered in growths

This thing was just so! Im! Pressive! Right?!

He was completely smitten, his heart racing, unable to tear himself away!!!

Almost drooling, Xu Jue ran without hesitation toward this celestial beast, ugly to the extreme.

And then, and then he joined a branch of the sect that hadn't had a new disciple in centuries.

Since it hadn't taken in anyone for centuries, the branch was not only run-down, it didn't even have any people. He was the only one there.

There was no one to teach him how to cultivate, and Xu Jue was dumbstruck.

All the other new disciples mocked him for being blind and unlucky!

--

But before long, it was everyone else's turn to be dumbstruck

The sect had 108 branches. Their resources varied, but every branch received a basic monthly allocation.

The other branches had at least thousands of people, and everyone had to fight over resources.

But in Xu Jue's branch, not only did he get the entire monthly allocation for himself, all the resources that had gone undistributed for over a thousand years because there had been no one there were delivered to him all at once!

Ahhhhhhh, getting rich overnight really is possible!!!!

Xu Jue excitedly hugged his beautiful beast and kissed it again and again!

Meili: Ugh, get away from me, you ugly freak!

Theme: An optimistic outlook on life and the courage to strive.
