[Sweet-faced but secretly ruthless, unhinged disciple gong x aloof, frail beauty shizun shou]
He Qihan is a Book Transmigration survivor who gets cast in the role of a merciful Immortal Venerable. He gives his sincere heart again and again, only to have it rejected, yet repays hostility with kindness. In the end, he seals the evil sword with his own body and dies young.
With his mission finally complete, He Qihan drags his battered body to a small sect, picks up a little disciple by the roadside, and plans to spend his remaining years in peace.
To his surprise, the powerful figures of the cultivation world who had once let him down all come looking for him:
The cold and heartless Sword Venerable begs him to return to the sect so he can nurse him back to health.
The proud and unruly Demon Lord kneels before him, asking to marry him and make him the Demon Queen.
The young lord of the demon clan, the Netherworld Ghost King...
He Qihan: "..."
The once-gentle Immortal Venerable, as warm as jade, shields his cowering little disciple and turns away with cool indifference.
"Too late."

Shen Zhuo is a demon. Since the Heavenly Dao could not erase him, it gave him the fate of a cursed loner, condemning him to suffer through countless lives.
But this life is different. A man carrying the fresh scent of bamboo leaves picks up the little boy and asks him to call him Shizun.
His Shizun is frail and needs careful looking after. He is so beautiful and pitiful that people cannot help coveting him.
Shen Zhuo bares his fangs and tears apart the shameless fools who do not know their place. Then he goes home and carefully hides his true nature, terrified that his immortal-like Shizun will reject him.
Until one day, his Shizun falls ill. He holds He Qihan, who feels like a ball of fire in his arms.
Trembling in his embrace, He Qihan strains to lift his head. His eyes are still bright as he softly asks, "Do you want me?"
Shen Zhuo's heart burns, but the word "Yes" sticks in his throat, impossible to spit out or swallow.
He is tasting honey at the tip of a blade, terrified beyond words, but the person in his arms laughs.
"You have to be good to me."
"...It would be my greatest pleasure."
[Upcoming Novel]
Check out "The Paranoid Villain's Redemption Plan [Book Transmigration]" in my author column.
Jiang Lian transmigrates into a cultivation novel as the shizun of the villainous big boss and is bound to a Villain Redemption System.
If he can keep the villain from taking too many lives before the plot ends, Jiang Lian can return to the real world.
The System says the villain is incredibly vicious and wary of everyone. But the Jun Weiming Jiang Lian meets is still an innocent little dumpling who crawls into his arms every day.
When Jiang Lian goes out, the child huffs and puffs as he chases after him on short legs.
When Jiang Lian returns to the sect, the child whines that his hand hurts and asks him to blow on it.
He's just too adorable.
The mission goes smoothly until someone plots against Jiang Lian's disciple. With no other choice, Jiang Lian dies alongside that person and fakes his own death to escape.
As he teeters on the brink of death, he sees Jun Weiming's face twist with anguish. The mask of obedient sweetness he has worn all along shatters piece by piece, revealing a terrifying, seething fury.
·
Jun Weiming is reborn. In his previous life, he was bullied and neglected, so he willingly waded through mountains of corpses and seas of blood, becoming the cruel Demon Venerable feared by everyone in the cultivation world.
In this life, Jun Weiming expects the tragedy to repeat itself. But as he struggles through his frail childhood, a kind man gathers him into his arms, takes him to a warm cave dwelling, and gently soothes him to sleep.
That man is kind and fragile. Jun Weiming cannot bear to stain him with his own monstrous nature, and has already resolved to hide the beast in his heart forever.
Until the man is about to die in front of him, yet still tells him not to grieve too much, or he will come back as a ghost and pester him.
Jun Weiming's heart is shattered.
·
Later, Jiang Lian wakes up in the Demon Venerable's bed.
A sturdy chain is wrapped around his hand, its other end fastened to the wrist of the Demon Venerable, who is said to be cold and cruel.
Jun Weiming has captured everyone who ever hurt them and points them out to Jiang Lian one by one from across the room.
Jiang Lian turns his head, not wanting to look, but Jun Weiming pulls him close and presses a spirit fruit that nourishes the body to his lips, gently urging him, "Shizun, have a little, okay?"
Amid the clink of chains, the Demon Venerable's low voice carries an almost pleading note: "If you eat one, I'll let them live one more day. How about it?"
Theme: Treat others with a sincere heart. Though you may face hardship, you may also meet someone who returns your sincerity with theirs.
As a light-hearted novel, it felt a bit too bloody and capricious. To be honest, I felt very tired after about forty chapters. My mentality at the time was probably "Why are there so many bad things?" If it were a serious drama, it would not have a profound conception, the characters except for the protagonist would be thin (to be honest, the protagonist's image is also a bit stereotyped), and the plot would not be grand enough. Fortunately, the emotional scenes and characters are attractive, and it's okay to make sweets without thinking, but it's a bit boring (the plot). Overall, I hope the author can make some progress. The above remarks are just based on personal preference.
Wow wow wow wow, Master, this last sentence is so seductive to me, oooooooooooo my soul is about to be seduced away by Master.
