A Guide to Winning Over the Aloof Beauty

1. Gu Chaoxi is the gifted junior disciple of Watermoon Sect. Born with a sweet, soft face that makes people want to tease or protect her, she's beautiful and kind, devoted to the Way, and completely oblivious to all the attention she gets.

One year, her breathtakingly beautiful and utterly unhinged senior sister, Luo Guanyue, defected and stole the sect's most precious treasure. Sent down the mountain by her master to capture her, Gu Chaoxi found that Luo Guanyue seemed to have vanished into thin air.

Gu Chaoxi continued wandering. Many years later, she met a woman as aloof as a flower on a high peak. For the first time in her life, she felt her heart flutter. All the countless flowers that had passed before her eyes had been no more than fleeting clouds, but after meeting Jiang Yingyue, she could no longer take her eyes off her.

The only problem was that the woman had exactly the same face as her senior sister...

2. Jiang Yingyue was born and her parents died. She lived under someone else's roof until she came of age, then every man who tried to marry her died as well. Three years later, everyone in the city called her a jinx reborn to bring misery to others, making her even more quiet and withdrawn.

One day, a woman who seemed to glow stumbled into her world by accident and started trying every way she could to win her over. Jiang Yingyue went from avoiding her to quietly accepting her, then giving her all of herself. When Gu Chaoxi said she would take her home, Jiang Yingyue agreed.

There, she saw a woman who looked remarkably like her...

Couple: the sect's prized junior disciple, a brilliant young woman raised in an ivory tower, as the pursuer, and the aloof beauty with a tragic fate, a nonhuman being, as the pursued.

Content warning: Cute married-girl romance. The senior sister has a one-sided love for the junior sister, while Gu Chaoxi only loves Jiang Yingyue, making for a siphoned love-triangle battlefield. Both leads are sexually inexperienced. One-on-one romance, happy ending. It's hard to say whether the female lead is older or younger.

A story written with wild abandon, inspired by a dream. When I woke up, I really wanted to write a story about [how to tell two identical people apart when they're both in love with you].

Theme: May you never lose your way, and may you never give up.
