When He Isn't in the If

-- Chuya woke up one day in a different world. Dazai was the leader of the Port Mafia. His closest friend was still alive, while Gin and Nakajima Atsushi had been sent off to the neighboring Detective Agency. The Port Mafia was as silent as the grave. The lifeless young boss showed a joy like rain after a long drought when he saw him. "Chuya, you're back." -- Only then did Chuya learn that the Chuya of this world was dead. Dazai Osamu controlled all of Yokohama. He had transferred the former executive, Nakahara Chuya, elsewhere, and sent Nakajima Atsushi and Gin to the Detective Agency, which he thought was a warm place. He had originally wanted to kill himself, but Nakahara Chuya had died while away on a business trip. Dazai no longer wanted to die. He even used the Book to bring Chuya back. Unfortunately, the one he summoned was a Nakahara Chuya from another world. This Chuya didn't love him or feel sorry for him. He died in front of Dazai Osamu again and again, only to be summoned back over and over. At last, the man who had been so fond of suicide began to look on knives with genuine terror. Yet the culprit smiled with delight. "Didn't you want to see me? You kept summoning me back, so I kept dying in front of you. You want your best friend, the Port Mafia, and me, too. Aren't you a little greedy?" Theme: In the IF world, you'll always be my greatest regret.
