Every Time I Wake Up, I'm a Suspect

[Complete] Jiang Tianyu, an active-duty special police officer, was gravely injured during a mission and fell into a coma. When she opened her eyes again, she was surprised to find herself in an unfamiliar body and a suspect in a serious criminal case. Before she could figure out what was going on, she got caught up in a hospital hostage situation. Before anyone could react, the knife-wielding criminal had been knocked to the ground. The person pinning him down was none other than a critically ill patient who had only just made it out of danger. Onlookers: ??? Qi Ziang, head of the major crimes unit, had rushed to the hospital as soon as he heard the case's suspect had woken up: ??? Jiang Tianyu: ...Serving the people with all my heart. Lately, everyone in Jiangcheng's Public Security Bureau major crimes unit had been in high spirits. Every major case, and even every cold case they handled, seemed to solve itself smoothly, as if they had divine help. Every suspected criminal they encountered was as sly as a fox, but overall, things were going well. But Qi Ziang, the head of the unit, rubbed the case files in his hands as he stared thoughtfully at the movements of the prime suspect in the latest serial murder case, captured on surveillance footage. Why did this person look so damn familiar? At almost the same moment, Jiang Tianyu was counting on her fingers: a crime of passion, a dried corpse case, a skeleton case, a case involving hypnotism... and now a serial murder case. When will it end? A polished professional on the surface, with extraordinary powers of observation underneath x a heroine who can be sweet or cool but is actually a powerhouse [Yes, the heroine inhabits the bodies of suspected criminals in every case.] Tips: 1. This is a fictional crime procedural with episodic cases, not a realistic police story. There are countless invented details and a very loose setting, so please don't nitpick. 2. Prosperity, democracy, civility, harmony, freedom, equality, justice, rule of law, patriotism, dedication, integrity, and friendship. 3. The blurb and premise were created on November 11, 2020. See my profile for details: "Every Time I Open the Door, I Arrive at a Crime Scene" After retiring, Luo Jingyao, a former international sanda champion, returned to her hometown and used her savings to open a flower shop. She was cheerful and warmhearted, and soon adjusted to her new life. But Luo Jingyao had a secret no one knew: she had a magic door. Unlike the golden finger in novels that lets the protagonist get rich, this door sent her soul to a random crime scene every time she opened it. A ghost murder, a divine punishment case, a vampire killing, a blood-soaked house, a heart-stealing case... After being forced through the door yet again, Luo Jingyao smelled the faint scent of blood in the air and, close to tears, turned to look at the Tian City Public Security Bureau across the road. The Tian City Public Security Bureau's Special Cases Investigation Unit had always been well-known, a guardian of the city in the eyes of the media and the public. Unfortunately, these "guardians" hadn't been having a very good time lately. When Lin Jiafan returned from a business trip to rejoin the team, he was greeted by the ghastly, grimacing faces of his subordinates. Through their resentful stares, the newly hired fitness coach at the bureau gave him a fist salute, dimples appearing on her cheeks. Before long, the physically battered "guardians" suddenly realized they had somehow entered a charmed life, always discovering new evidence and running into suspects wherever they went. One day, a member of the Special Investigation Unit accidentally saw Lin Jiafan cornering Luo Jingyao in a hallway. Then a hesitant but clear female voice rang through the empty corridor: "This isn't appropriate... You know I tend to hit too hard." The next second, the team member heard Lin Jiafan reply carelessly, "What's there to worry about? I'm willing. I can take a beating." As if they'd stumbled on a shocking secret, the team member raced back to the office. "Oh no! The chief and Coach Luo are a thing! And the chief is the one on the bottom!" Lin Jiafan, who had just asked Luo Jingyao to help him simulate and reconstruct a crime scene and happened to be standing outside the door: ...???? A refined, cultured man on the surface, but an old fox with endless schemes underneath VS a gentle woman on the surface, but actually so strong she can knock anyone out with a single punch Theme: Justice lives forever
