The Eldest Princess's Foolish Consort

Huai Su was a distinguished Imperial Tutor who simply enjoyed reading popular stories. He never imagined that one day he would become a character in a book.

He hadn't even had the chance to read the book, only hearing that it was about a princess and her male lover. How could he have known someone would dare to invent a story about the most illustrious eldest princess in history?

The official histories say that Princess Zhaorong never married, and had only a foolish male lover for company.

The unofficial histories claim that Zhaorong abused her imperial favor, did as she pleased, and was addicted to tormenting people. Her foolish male lover was covered in injuries. Back then, whenever noble families heard that the princess was choosing a husband, they would immediately arrange marriages for their sons. One young noble even declared that he would rather become a monk than marry Zhaorong.

Huai Su never dreamed that he would become that poor wretch. And, to make matters worse, a fool!

But since he was here, he might as well make the best of it. He had placed first in all three imperial examinations. Could he slowly stop acting like a fool?

But he never would have imagined that this fool needed the princess to feed him, could trip on flat ground, and, despite being older than her, tugged at her sleeve every day and called her "big sister." Huai Su could hardly bear to watch.

No, Huai Su couldn't watch, because he was that fool now. He was the one doing all those things above!

He didn't want to act this way, but whenever he saw the princess, he collapsed, and whenever he couldn't see her, he called for her. It truly wasn't what he wanted, but his body was out of his control!
