Didn't We Agree to Go Through Tribulations Together?

Lord Siming of the Fates is going to undergo a trial with his little disciple, Lan Lan. He uses everything he's learned to arrange an especially eventful lifetime, one that lets them experience not only birth, aging, sickness, and death, but every emotion and desire as well.

Siming: "Trials are a points-based ranking competition. Remember, when you run into trouble, you have to face it head-on. Better yet, make your destined partner fall in love with you first. The deeper their love, the better. Then have them kill you, as horribly as possible! Experience the full force of love, hatred, anger, and infatuation all at once, and you'll get the highest score. You might even have a chance to become a god when you return."

Lan Lan: "You got it! So who's my destined partner?"

Siming: "It's me..."

Lan Lan: "Then why can't I be the one to kill you?"

Siming: "Because I wrote the trial story..."

They agreed to cheat together and skip Meng Po's soup, but in the end, Siming downed a whole bowl!

Lan Lan: "What is going on? Not only is this lifetime unbearably awful, but I also have to seduce this amnesiac idiot?"

Theme: After completing your trial and returning, you're a new person.
