My Scumbag Husband Turned Over a New Leaf

[Female Lead's Version]

Shen Chiyu wakes up to find that she has transmigrated into the role of the cannon-fodder empress in a palace-intrigue novel about the female lead's rise to power.

The empress and the male lead, the emperor, were childhood sweethearts, and they had a son and a daughter together.

But childhood affection was no match for a sudden arrival. In the end, she became a stepping stone for the female lead.

The female lead had her crown prince son killed, ruined her daughter, and caused her own death along with her unborn child. Then the female lead was appointed empress and had a son with that rotten male lead.

Shen Chiyu, now transmigrated into the story, holds her two stepchildren and looks at the stone-faced emperor. Thinking about the fate awaiting the four of them (including the child in her belly), she wants to start a rebellion.

[Male Lead's Version]

A year after the Empress Dowager's death, Si Yue bumps his head against her tombstone during the memorial service. When he wakes up, he discovers that the whole world has changed.

Not only does everyone have a different color surrounding them, but there's also a colored box above each person's head with words appearing inside.

Gold means the person is blessed with merit, while black means they are utterly wicked. A red box above someone's head means they are happy, while a black one means they have murderous intentions.

After acquiring this ability, Si Yue discovers that everyone in the court and the imperial harem, except his empress, is two-faced.

Only his empress is wreathed in golden light and purple energy, with a faint hint of red. The color of the box above her head keeps changing, but every passage of text ends with a tiny person, no bigger than a thumb, cursing or beating up another tiny person.

Later, he learns that the tiny person being cursed and beaten up is actually him.

PS:

1. One-on-one romance, both leads are chaste.

2. The female lead is the original body's owner.
