My Junior Uncle Truly Doesn't Want to Go to Work

[Blurb One]

In recent years, the number of human births has steadily declined. The underworld's reincarnation queue is now backed up for a century, disturbances in the spirit realm are becoming more frequent, and vengeful ghosts are committing crimes everywhere. Evil cultivators are taking advantage of the chaos to cause trouble, repeatedly bringing disaster to the mortal world.

The National Bureau of Supernatural Affairs was established to handle all kinds of paranormal cases.

Wei Fengyin, the junior granduncle of the Yuxu Temple on Yunyin Mountain and head of the Ninth Bureau, looks to outsiders like nothing more than a pretty mascot with an impressive seniority. That is, until one day, people see her punching evil ghosts, kicking evil cultivators, and finding new jobs for the underworld's surplus ghostly energy.

Everyone: "..."

Well, she's pretty talented, isn't she?

Who the hell said she was a mascot?

[Blurb Two]

As the times change, technology in every realm advances at breakneck speed. With a host of bigwigs at its disposal, the underworld is at the forefront, leaving all the other realms in the dust.

Computers and phones are everywhere, artificial intelligence far surpasses that of the mortal world, Black and White Impermanence have recruited their own crews, and even Meng Po has started working shifts. The entertainment industry is flourishing in all its forms.

Wei Fengyin has barely made it back alive from a life-draining game when she's drafted into service. By day, she hunts evil ghosts in the mortal world; by night, she has to hunt them in the underworld too.

Two jobs, all by herself, with no days off.

Wei Fengyin: "..."

There is absolutely no way I can keep doing this job.
