Me and the Shadow Guard Are Both Useless

A hilarious, sweet little story about a divine doctor and a hot-blooded shadow guard

Cen Qi is the Valley Master's most beloved youngest son of Wanchun Valley, but he skips class and goofs off every day instead of learning medicine. His skills are even worse than those of the disciples outside the valley, making him the most troublesome student for his teacher.

One day, Cen Qi skips class and sneaks into the woods to catch a pheasant. He doesn't catch one, but he does find a black-clad shadow guard covered in blood.

Cen Qi: Don't be scared. I'm the Wanchun Valley Master's most prized disciple, so I'll definitely heal you... Wait, what was the other medicine for stopping bleeding besides notoginseng??? (panics)

Nian Yi: ...Don't move. I can heal myself.

Later, Nian Yi recovers thanks to his powerful ability to heal himself, only to discover that Cen Qi has been kidnapped and his whereabouts are unknown. He tracks him all the way into enemy territory.

Nian Yi: I used to be the strongest shadow guard in Ghost Valley. I'll definitely get you out of here... Wait, how do I make this bomb???

Cen Qi: Don't do anything. I can get myself out.

The story's planned, but I haven't polished the blurb yet. I'll leave this here for now.

Theme: Isn't being a noob just fine?
